I’m on the hunt for a cool backsplash for my home right now. So, I went onto one of my favorite home websites, Houzz, and typed in “kitchen backsplash.” Here is one that I found where contractor Regina L. Pace incorporated wine corks!

This is a great idea that I plan to do once I get settled into my new home. An important thing to keep in mind is DO NOT get the corks wet. It could make them rot and then you will have to drink another 30 or so bottles to get more corks, (not that that’s a bad thing). To avoid this, place the flowers in a container inside the vase and disguise them with the corks. Or, you can buy fake flowers or real plants that don’t really require water (ie. twigs, succulents, pussy willow branches, etc.). Cheers!
